Derbyโs first-ever Safer Business Action Day took place on Tuesday 17th October.
The Derbyshire Business Crime Reduction Partnership (BCRP) brought together partners from St Peters Quarter and Cathedral Quarter Business Improvement Districts (BIDs), Derby City Councilโs enforcementย team, and Derbyshire Constabulary for a day full of raising awareness about business crime prevention and initiatives.
Local Business owners hear from the Derbyshire Police and Crime Commissioner Angelique Foster about her role and plans for policing in the city.
Councillor Hardyal Dhindsa, cabinet member for communities and street pride at Derby City Council, also told of the Councils plans for the city.
Both the PCC and Cllr Dhindsa then spent time visiting businesses to hear of their experiences with ASB and other issues in the City Centre where businesses were urged to keep reporting any crime no matter how big or small as this helps to build a picture to see where the funding is most needed in the city with regards to policing.
