Work begins on Nightingale Quarter

Work on the £150 million Nightingale Quarter to create 800 new homes in the heart of the city has commenced.

The 18-acre site which neighbours St Peters Quarter, will include cycle routes, an open air gym and fitness area, and children’s play areas. The site’s pepper pot buildings will be retained to house facilities including a café, gym, exhibition space and meeting rooms for the use of the residents.

The new site provides a welcome opportunity to bring more people into the city centre for both work and leisure.

The project is expected to be completed by 2025
