Babington Lane/St Peters Street Pedestrian and Cycle Improvement

Night time Works commencing 19th June to 23rd June Inclusive

Works on Gower Street/Babington Lane and St Peters Street are in the final phases of completion, surfacing works are programmed to be carried out at the Babington Lane /Gower Street Junction.

• Monday 19th June 2023 to Thursday 22nd 2023 from 7.30pm to 6.00am each night
• Babington Lane will be closed to all traffic, no access beyond Back Sitwell Street
• Access to Gower Street will not be available at the Babington Lane junction. Access will be via Macklin Street on to Green Lane Road

We have scheduled the work at night in order that, providing weather conditions are favourable, we are able to complete the works out of hours to allow businesses to remain open during their normal working hours.
During these necessary works, it is inevitable that there will be an element of noise and disruption to surrounding properties due to the type of work being carried out. Our site teams receive a site briefing at the commencement of each shift to outline the importance of keeping noise levels to a minimum.
