Green Lane properties sale paves way for mixed use scheme

St James Securities, the company behind the Becketwell regeneration scheme, has successfully sold a group of derelict properties in St Peters Quarter, marking a significant milestone in the ยฃ200 million development. The three properties in Green Lane, previously owned by Debenhams, have been purchased by the Berry Group, a local property company. The buildings will undergo a transformation, becoming a mixed-use development with ground floor commercial units and residential spaces. This sale contributes to the ongoing revitalization of Derby city centre, and St James Securities is pleased to collaborate with the experienced Berry Group in bringing these vacant properties back to life. The Becketwell regeneration project aims to create a dynamic new quarter, featuring residential, commercial, and leisure activities. The first phase includes The Condor, a build-to-rent apartment scheme, while future phases envision a performance venue, hotel, additional residential accommodation, multi-storey car park, and purpose-built student housing. The scheme represents the most significant urban regeneration effort in Derby in over 30 years.
