New plans for Derby Market Place Food Court

01 Oct 2020

The Derby Market Place has been a much welcome addition over the summer months and its last day is on Wednesday 30th September.
Due to the success of the food court, new plans to broaden the offer in autumn/winter have been announced as the area is to be transformed into a hub for outdoor entertainment and themed markets.
During October, a series of themed Sessions will feature bands and live entertainment performing on a new stage in Derby Market Place, including local bands, open mic, sounds and sights from the Caribbean carnival, and jazz. Continuing the success of the al fresco dining experience, visitors will be able to pre-order food for delivery or bring their own takeaway.
From Thursday 15th to Sunday 18th October the area will also celebrate Derbyโ€™s reputation for locally-produced beer and cider at The Beer Sessions.
The chalet seating areas around the outside of the current space will be transformed into attractive stalls for a series of themed markets throughout autumn and the festive period, starting with the Vegan Market on Saturday 7th November.
Booking is required for tables for all Sessions. Prices vary and full pricing information can be found atย derbymarketplace.co.ukย along with more details about the autumn Sessions and markets scheduled.
