The current St Peters Quarter BID term is due to end in March 2022. As such, we have now begun the process of renewal which will culminate in a vote by businesses in a ballot to be held late this year.
We have achieved a lot together over the last four years but in these challenging times we need to ensure that we create a new business plan which is fit for purpose for the next five years and beyond and your involvement is crucial, so we can build upon what we have already accomplished and ensure that our business community benefit from new opportunities and drive the future development of the area.”
There will be forthcoming communications and updates in the weeks ahead, with regular Renewal Ebulletins to keep you updated, workshops to enable you to provide your input and new features on the BID website.
Helen Wathall, Chair of St Peters Quarter BID
St Peters Quarter is a Business Improvement District both funded and governed by businesses located in the St Peters Quarter BID boundaries. Since 2017, the BID team has carried out a five-year strategy which has raised the profile of St Peters Quarter making it a safer, cleaner and livelier place to visit and do business. The current St Peters Quarter BID term is due to end in March 2022 and must undergo what is called a ‘Renewal Ballot’. Businesses who are over a certain rateable value within the BID area will be asked to vote in favour of supporting a third five-year term. The outcome of the Renewal Vote will affect the future of the St Peters Quarter business community.
To make sure that the BID is able to provide the support your business needs over the next five years we need your thoughts, views and ideas. Besides the existing BID activities and opportunities there will be a variety of different ways in which you can help shape the future plan. Please see some of these opportunities listed below.
The St Peters Quarter BID Board is elected by members of St Peters Quarter Derby Ltd, drawn predominantly from those paying a levy in the area and made up of a cross-section of businesses, stakeholders and key agencies associated with the successful delivery of the BID projects. The role of the Board is to safeguard the interests of levy payers by ensuring that the BID operates in line with the Business Plan and offers consistent value for money in line with its targets.
Becoming a Board member gives you the opportunity to represent the needs of your business and the businesses around you. If you are interested in joining St Peters Quarter BID Board, please contact the BID office for more information.
During the St Peters Quarter Renewal process, we will be setting up a series of working groups which will enable businesses from across the area to come together and discuss their thoughts for the future and identify specific activities which will need to be included in the plan. This will ensure that the business views represented were as broad as possible by both geography and business sector in the St Peters Quarter area.
We encourage anyone that would like to join one of these groups to call the BID office on Tel: 01332 419 050 or email: email@example.com
There will be a series of events which will aim to both provide information to businesses and collect their views on future developments planned for the area and identify priorities.
Watch this space for events as they are planned.
The Renewal Survey is an important opportunity to express your thoughts about the St Peters Quarter area and the future support your business needs. We would be grateful if you could spend a few moments, downloading the survey, digitally completing the form, saving it and emailing it back to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Alternatively, we can arrange for someone to talk this through with you via Zoom, Teams or phone and complete it on your behalf. To arrange this please call the BID Project Executive, Daniela Ivanova on 07816 297 734.
We would value any thoughts or ideas you have about St Peters Quarter and the future activities and support you would like to see. Whether it be a brief call or a longer meeting we will be very happy to meet you online or talk to you over the phone.
To talk to the BID Manager Ashley Lewis or Project Executive Daniela Ivanova either call or email to arrange a call back or a longer meeting on Tel: 01332 419 050 or email: email@example.com
